Death of Bettie Page

    On december 11th 2008 bettie Page a famous pinup girl in the 1950s died at the age of 85. Bettie Page had many achievements before her death, making her famous through out the years. Looking back a few week before her death, there were a few complications she faced. 3 weeks before her heart attack she went through having pneumonia  a disease that cripples a persons immune system. On december 2nd she had a heart attack pulling her into a coma and intensive care. It was a hard decision for the family and friends of bettie page to take her off the life support that was keeping her alive, but finally on december 11th they released her from it.

Today many people idle this beauty carrying on her legacy with collections and dedicating their life to her. 

      Bettie page started a revolution breaking away the boundaries for pinup girls like herself in the 1950s. She faced and battled and illness pulling her under the surface allowing her to disappear. During the 1990s when Page resurfaced she allowed very few interviews as long as her picture wasn't taken. Bettie Page felt that she didn't want to be seen as how she is now but as she use to be in her glory days. 

      Bettie Page 1923-2008 has been a great impact on our society. Page set off a revolution creating a sense of freedom for everyone. It will be hard to forget such a legacy that has been lost yesterday. She will always be in the memory of millions, motivating millions. 

Furby look alike

A clawed fur ball that fits in just one hand was sighted alive for the first time in 80 years. It was thought through everyones mind that this furby look alike was extinct.Over about a two-month period, scientists in the Indonesian island of Sulawesi caught and released 3 pygmy tarsiers. They surprisingly resemble a Furby, an electronic toy that spoke its own language and dominated children's wish lists in the late 1990s.
they found two males and one female and another they couldn't catch sitting high in a tree. The last time one of this species was caught before this was in 1921 for a museum. It was thought until 8 years ago that the furby look alike was extinct but recent discovery tells over wise. 8 years ago while trapping rats they accidentally trapped and killed one of these cute little furby look a likes.
The creature is from the ape family, nocturnal primate. The three they caught and released were captured by using nets then radio collared. By radio collaring them will help scientists to learn even more about this species. The unknown has been dug up out of deep thoughts of extinction.
A few things they already know about them are their eating habits and behavior to a extent. They are completely carnivores one of the only primates that are, they eat insects. They usually only bond into pairs and have two breeding seasons. unlike other of its species it does not build nests or use scent to mark their territory. More knowledge will come out of this discovery and help us learn more about this wonderful animal.

Grant Wilson co-star of the Sci Fi Channel's hit show, "Ghost Hunters" has Halloween everyday in his life. The hobby of ghost chasing scares the pants off most people but is a living of Wilson and tackles the adventures of the paranormal. The group TAPS has helped many families and people solve the mysteries of the paranormal. Specially being Halloween the superstitions of ghost fall upon the world.

Creaking during the night as you lay in your bed, the old breeze against your face and body. Its easy to take this little motions to a extreme, the logic flies right out the window. This show helps people in extreme situations, where the ghosts threaten their life. Its hard to say when you actually see a ghost but there are some significant symptoms of it. Moving objects, shutting doors, lights flickering and odd noises that have never been heard before are classic symptoms of a ghost. It's a one in a lifetime expierence to see a ghost and maybe you will never seem one. its hard to say if you will or not, and be careful if you look for them ,they might just come to you.

Diabetes outbreak

Diabetes has always been around in our society, crimpling people everyday. When you think of diabetes you dont realize how much it effects peoples everyday life."The highest rate was in West Virginia, where about 13 in 1,000 adults were diagnosed with the disease. The lowest was in Minnesota, where the rate is 5 in 1,000." quoted from the article. About 90 percent of the cases are Type 2 diabetes, the form linked to obesity. Your body isn't made to take the pressure of the obesity and many problems can occur from being obese.

There are two types of diabetes, type one is a genetic type and you are born with it. Type two is gained by usaully being obese or eating wrong. Diabetes is a lack or too much of insolent in the body tipping the balance of your body. More than 23 million Americans have diabetes. The number is growing quickly. About 1.6 million new cases were diagnosed in people 20 or older last year, according to the CDC. From these statistics it shows how much of a problem this could become. Diabetes cripples the life of many and can be prevented. The health of our nation has brought this upon us making many suffer from this disease.

Wall street plunges all over the world

To think that only the united states was the only one falling in the stock, you are wrong. Wall street world wide has hit a destructive percent. In reality our stocks has dropped the lowest percent compared to other nations around the world. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 4.5% and the Nasdaq composite fell about 5.3%. These are just a few of the percentages that fell in United States just a few days ago.
Around the nation hitting japan, Germany,France, London, and Moscow. One of the biggest drops was in Moscow with 14% the exchange suspended trading until Tuesday. The other drops varied between 9% to 8% through the world.
Before reading this article i was convinced that only our nation was falling through, but we arnt even at the worst of it.

Mothers cookies shut down

The mothers cookies company that has been around for 92 years has suddenly filling for bankruptcy. The loyal workers were told on Friday that production would cease and on Monday no more cookies would be made. The company pin pointed rising prices for some of the raw materials used and fuel. On Monday the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The mothers cookies company was juggled around through the years between many bigger companys. The last people to own this company before its downfall were the Archway & Mother's Cake and Cookie Co. of Battle Creek, Mich. It was owned by Catterton Partners, a private-equity firm in Greenwich, Conn., which purchased them in 2005. Many companys have been going through great amount of layoffs of there workers, when motther cookies didnt follow the 60 day layoff requirement. In 2006 when they were uprooted from Oakland and relocated about 230 employees lost there jobs.
Its easy to see that this company brought there own downfall upon them, with there poor financial system to how they treated there employers. The raise in prices of gas and materials was far to great for them to sustain and it led to there end. After 92 years it was the end and they weren't able to struggle back to the top like they have done before.

Anthrax letters

Everyone probly remembers the dreaded events that happened in 2001 in our country,from the twin towers to the mailling of anthrax. It is true to say that the mailling of anthrax is not as big only killing five people but putting terror in the lives of americans. It is hard to compare those two events to each other but we finally might know who sent the anthrax around the united states. Bruce Ivins, was said to have killed himself in July as the Justice Department was ready to charge him for the anthrax case, supposedly to have sent a e-mail to himself last September.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!!! I finally know who mailed the anthrax letters in the fall of 2001. I've pieced it together! Now we can finally get this over and done with," the e-mail reads. the email was short but to the point to try to get himself out of being caught. I'm not looking forward to everybody getting dragged through the mud, but at least it will be over," the e-mail reads. "Finally! I should have it TOTALLY nailed down within the month. I should have been a private eye!!!!" another part in the email but he never does say who did it. When the lawyers were talking Ivins lawyer was going to hand over the info after his terms were met. After this the investigators began to research Bruce Ivins and found out he had warrants out for wanting to kill his co-workers.

The events that happened because of this will never be forgotten in our country, hearing this story resurface into the news caught my eye. It has been awhile since anything has been posted about this event till now that I know of. It is great to know this event has had a conclusion for such a terrible event.

House declines 700 billion bail out

The house on Monday put the 700 billion bailout to a halt. The same day the stock market went down 6% , this might not seem like a lot right now i mean only 6% but when you look at the great depression which was 7%. In the great depression the stock market on black Tuesday went down 7% nearly destroying the economy during that time. Black Monday circulated around the world, people granted this to September 29th because of the great stock market drop.

Sadly i don't know where this is going to lead our economy but at this point it has dropped the stock market world drastically, its hard to say when it will rise back up again.

Missing Until found

It has been reported on many news reports in the past couple months, and still no final answer to the mystery. Lets take a look at the beginning, a three year old daughter of Casey Anthony went missing in mid-June. Caylee Anthony wasn't reported missing till a month later by the mother, a little suspicious was what most people thought about that. At this point Casey Anthony has gone through rigorous investigations against her about the where abouts of her daughter. Lets stop and think Why would a mother of a beautiful daughter go through long lengths to kidnap her? its a hard question to ask to yourself but seems to come easy to the federal side of things. Casey has been the main suspect to this case from the beginning and the only thing have against her are irrelevant from this case. Casey has been charged with countless things from forgery of checks to grand theft, it seems like a long stride to put her in jail. It is hard to say how this will end but Casey Anthony reports that her daughter is still alive even if its the opposite in the polices mind. Bringing this blog to a close no one knows if Caylee is alive or not but i hope that this case will come to a end and the toddler back with the ones that love her.
