Diabetes outbreak

Diabetes has always been around in our society, crimpling people everyday. When you think of diabetes you dont realize how much it effects peoples everyday life."The highest rate was in West Virginia, where about 13 in 1,000 adults were diagnosed with the disease. The lowest was in Minnesota, where the rate is 5 in 1,000." quoted from the article. About 90 percent of the cases are Type 2 diabetes, the form linked to obesity. Your body isn't made to take the pressure of the obesity and many problems can occur from being obese.


There are two types of diabetes, type one is a genetic type and you are born with it. Type two is gained by usaully being obese or eating wrong. Diabetes is a lack or too much of insolent in the body tipping the balance of your body. More than 23 million Americans have diabetes. The number is growing quickly. About 1.6 million new cases were diagnosed in people 20 or older last year, according to the CDC. From these statistics it shows how much of a problem this could become. Diabetes cripples the life of many and can be prevented. The health of our nation has brought this upon us making many suffer from this disease.
